'I suffered from IBS while I was in university, it was NOT fun. On my journey to recovery, I learned about the benefits of enjoying fermented foods as a way to help get my stomach fill up with good bacteria; it crowds out the bad bacteria which causes these issues. Life-changing is not an understatement, eating these foods made me feel SO much better.   Sometimes, and for good reason, the stomach is called our \'second brain\', and this is because a healthy gut has been linked to better mental health (not to mention, better bowel movements, less bloating...the list goes on). So in this video, I talk about all of my favourite fermented foods which are chock full of healthy bacterial cultures (essentially probiotics) that fill your gut with good bacteria and other vitamins and minerals which are essential to good health. You\'ll hear about kombucha, kimchi, sauerkraut, miso, kefir and even sourdough bread. Give these foods a try; while they may not be flavours you are accustomed to, you might just discover your new favourite food that also makes you feel great.
