'Bella Hadid x Coperni at Paris Fashion Week: Fashion Tech Gimmick or Future of Fashion?'

00:50 Feb 3
'Innovation needs to be more than just a fling. To be more than just a gimmick now wouldn’t that be something. To cause a reaction is swell, but wouldn’t it be great if it was less about causing a fleeting reaction and more about encouraging action. Who wants to feed the fashion tech stereotype, not I. Do not get me wrong, its great that technology can grab a headline or two but wouldn’t it be better if you backed innovation up all the way and really see what it can do. Who knows, today we are getting excited about Bella Hadid being sprayed on a catwalk in Paris, tomorrow that same technology could potentially liberate the need for sizes and maybe even reduce the mountain of fabric waste that no one can no longer afford to ignore. BTW: Bella Hadid was spray painted into a dress during Coperni\'s Spring/Summer 2023 runway show, which took place the Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris, France, in 30th September 2022 The technology is from Fabrican, a Spanish company that created the idea and made the concept possible. The chemical engineer is Manel Torres and started the project in 2003. #BellaHadid #Newtechnology #coperni #materialdesign #innovation #pfw'
