'My Made-in-Malaysia Kitenge dresses'

'Lugged home a big pile of Kitenge (name of the African fabric) to make clothes with.  I have a great tailor and designer lady, June Leong who made me many pieces of beautiful dresses with them. June has been making show costumes for me. Her craft is great, her attention to details impressive.   Kitenge is an East African, West African and Central Africa fabric similar to our sarong. I first fell in love with it when my buddy Susheela Balasundaram gave me two pieces from Uganda a few years ago. I had June made two casual dresses for me with them and has always wished for more to come. So came my Tanzania-Kenya trip last year, I made sure I came home with the fabric to make my Africa trip last longer :)   Shared on Facebook on January 22, 2020.'
