'(16 Nov 2018) A  Cuban fashion house has teamed up with internet giant Google to stream its latest clothing line online as it was presented on a catwalk in Havana on Thursday night. Clandestino Fashion bills itself as the island nation\'s first and largest online store with all the garments designed and made in Cuba, also sold from a retail outlet in Havana\'s Old City. During Thurday night\'s event, dozens of models walked the show donned in Clandestino\'s newest ensembles, most of which were made from recycled and discarded material. The 36-year-old founder of the company, Idania Del Rio, said Cubans want more connectivity on the island, something the government has pledged to provide in the coming years. Currently, Cuba has a very low rate of internet penetration, but the government has opened hundreds of wi-fi hot spots around the island, where for about 2 US dollars an hour ordinary Cubans can access the worldwide web. The Cuban Government has promised to eventually expand internet access to the homes of Cubans, a pledge that\'s still prohibitively expensive for many workers who earn on average 30 US dollars per month.
