'HK fashion icon takes New York by storm (2017)'

'Celebrated Hong Kong fashion designer Vivienne Tam – known for her East-meets-West styles – helped celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region with a Hong Kong-themed fashion show in New York.  Vivienne Tam\'s Fall/Winter 2017 Collection, inspired by the electrifying energy of Hong Kong, was launched at New York Fashion Week on February 15.  The catwalk presentation was inspired by the vibrant beauty of Hong Kong. She said: \"I would love my collection to convey the Hong Kong success story, having been inspired by its enchanting and electrifying neon night life.\"  Some other works of the designer, who grew up and studied in Hong Kong, are housed in the permanent archives of prestigious institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh.
