The #grading shows the variation between each size. This particular #shirt is being reviewed to ensure that the #embroidery for the front of the garment is consistent on each of the sizes. Pattern grading is the process of turning base size or sample size patterns into additional sizes using a size specification sheet or grading increments. This can be done manually or digitally using computerized pattern drafting software. A graded measurement set is only one step in validating the grading is consistent. The other step, is checking a nested graded pattern. A nested graded pattern shows the patterns for each size stacked together. Each point on the pattern has an X and Y axis. Problems found in graded patterns usually don’t come from the points that match up to the graded measurements.
