'(26 Sep 2014) KANYE WEST ATTENDS RICK OWENS FASHION SHOW IN PARIS American rapper Kanye West sat front row Thursday (25 SEPT. 2014) at Rick Owens\' Spring Summer 2015 ready-to-wear fashion show in Paris. \"It was beautiful. Very inspiring,\" West could be heard saying to the designer backstage after the show. West wore a Yeezus t-shirt and ripped black jeans. Meantime, for his women\'s line, Owens continued the theme of his menswear show: the Faun. Once again inspired by Russian choreographer Vaslav Nijinsky\'s ballet \"Afternoon of the Faun\" of the Ballets Russes, the collection showcased forest nymphs with theatrical looks. \"This is kind of an extension of my men\'s show because I use the same title per season. The season\'s title was \"Faun\" in reference to Debussy\'s \"Afternoon of a Faun\" and the ballet and kind of the whole modernist movement which was very provocative at the time, that ballet. It was shocking; it was a little bit lurid. I\'ve always liked the idea of this beautiful, cultured, rigid, rigorous world of ballet, and the glitter of the culture that\'s attached to it,\" Owens said. Structured garments with soft architecture, such as strapless dresses and sleeveless tunics, were layered with long vests and worn with towering muted and metallic wedges. The color palette featured gray and brown tones, olive, and nuances of black and white, all of which created a modern architectural look. \"Every generation has the responsibility to kind of shock the one before it� I\'m not saying that\'s what I\'ve done. All I\'m saying is that when I try and make clothes, I\'m trying to do something that\'s modern and kind of brutalist and kind of modernist. I like to think of modernism when I\'m making clothes. I like to think of modernist architecture. I was joking earlier, I was thinking, you know if Marcel Breuer or one of those most brutal of architects, like made a house out of tulle, what would it look like? And that\'s kind of what I was trying to do. And I think it worked. When I looked at it afterwards, I was saying, \'Damn! I did it,\' Owens said.
