While other shows provided more ready-to-wear clothing, the Bowie show was more about impact and could be described as the \"haute couture of RAFW. Bowie took fashion risks where others did not, in this case with its Asian theme, explored by the designer who is the son of a Chinese opera singer and has said that his imagination ran wild as a child when he saw his mother in costumes. This collection was called Paper Crane and was highlighted by garments in fabric like paper and the colors of a crane.
